Penta

On Friday evening I headed up to the club to practice my short game while playing a few holes. I also wanted to test some balls I had found yet never played before, I took a TaylorMade Penta, a Srixon Z-Star & a Z-StarX.

I don't know what it is about the Penta but I really enjoy playing it, the ball is really long off my driver, not only that but it has a great trajectory for me and holds it's line into the wind well. Feels fine off the irons and stops on the greens just fine. But as important as that aspect is it's insignificant compared to how it comes off my putter, I feel really confident with this ball, it seams to roll at the hole really well and feels great off the putter.

If only I could justify spending £35 a dozen for any golf ball, then I would play this ball every time I could in both practice and competition. Alas, I can't justify it, maybe when I stop losing ball so often...

The short game practice was not too successful due to the course being busy, I did get a few 100-75 yard pitches in and got a few close using a little cut shot that I learned at the driving range.

More practice needed!
